  • NEW FOR GMI 2008!

    The MSF and ATIS are joining forces to provide a comprehensive IPTV test environment during GMI 2008.

    The MSF is pleased to announce a new, exclusive partnership with ATIS for IPTV testing as defined by ATIS' IPTV Interoperability Forum (IIF). ATIS will utilize the MSF's GMI Event to provide a testing ecosystem to validate IPTV equipment based on the globally recognized IIF specifications.

    For more information, please contact Kristin Harris at kharris@iol.unh.edu

    GMI 2008 will focus on providing a technical validation of the MSF Release 4 Architecture and supporting Implementation Agreements as the basis for interoperability between vendors within practical network deployments.

    The MSF Release 4 Architecture and Implementation Agreements are particularly focussed on:

    • IMS as a basis of carrier-grade session control;
    • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) as a mechanism for rapid service creation with access to IMS session control;
    • IPTV and location-based services as representative emerging services;
    • elaborated QoS control as an essential underpinning for content-intensive services such as IPTV;
    • the ability to monitor services from the user point of view;
    • practical deployment scenarios that focus on realistic network evolution.

    GMI 2008 will provide direct marketing value to the MSF membership by demonstrating their commitment to open, interoperable multi-vendor NGN networks.

GMI 2008 Demonstration Period: October 20-31, 2008
